Kia Motors today launched their premium MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle), the Carnival at the Auto Expo 2020.  Kia Carnival price starts at Rs.24.95 lakhs (ex.showroom, India) and top trim is priced at Rs.33.95 lakhs.
The Kia Carnival is powered by a 2.2-liter VGT BS6 diesel engine, paired with an eight-speed Sportsmatic transmission, a class-leading drivetrain engineered for smooth, effortless performance. With the ARAI rated fuel efficiency of  13kmpl, the 2.2 liter VGT BS6 diesel engine churns out 200hp and 440Nm of torque through the front wheels. The front of the Carnival displays a wide, upright ‘tiger-nose’ grille and wrap-around LED projection headlamps with LED daytime running lights (DRLs) for an imposing appearance. From the side, its swept-back silhouette is matched by a long bonnet design and an all-round glass area with a ‘floating’ roof. The look is completed with 18-inch alloy wheels. The Kia Carnival is wider and longer than its rival Toyota Innova Crysta.
In terms of safety, the Kia Carnival offers dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, rear parking sensors and a rear camera as standard feature across all variants. Inside, the Carnival makes a statement of luxury with VIP Nappa leather seats, dual-panel electric sunroof, dual touchscreen rear seat entertainment, and, at the rear, a Smart Power Tailgate. It also provides advanced technologies to make driving safer, convenient, and enjoyable, with UVO Connect, Kia’s connected car and infotainment system. UVO Connect offers 37 smart features, and is offered free to Indian buyers for three years after initial purchase. Certain UVO features can also be accessed via users’ smartwatches, taking car connectivity to a new level.
The Kia Carnival can be had in three seating configurations – as a 7-seater with a 2+2+3 arrangement, as an 8-seater utilizing a 2+3+3 design or a 9-seater employing a 2+2+2+3 layout with a fourth row of seats. The new Kia Carnival premium MPV is now available to order from Kia showrooms across India. The ex-showroom prices are as follows –
  • Premium (7-seater): Rs 24.95 lakhs
  • Premium (8-seater): Rs 25.15 lakhs
  • Prestige (7-seater): Rs 28.95 lakhs
  • Prestige (9-seater): Rs 29.95 lakhs
