Royal Enfield launched the Classic 350 S in Kerala and Tamil Nadu for Rs.1,45,975 (Ex.showroom, Chennai). RE Classic 350 S is the single channel ABS version of the RE Classic 350. As per the safety norms mandate, it is compulsory for all motorcycles with displacement 125cc or more to have ABS. Royal Enfield had launched the RE Classic 350 model with a dual-channel ABS in February 2019. This bike costs Rs 1,53,900.
The RE Classic 350 S, costs Rs 9,000 less than the existing dual-channel ABS version. RE Classic 350 S comes in two new color shades, Mercury Silver, and Pure Black. The new paint scheme of the Royal Enfield motorcycles depends on feedback received from its young clientele. Hence, the new version has blacked-out wheels, engine, fenders, and rear-view mirrors. It retains the characteristic headlamp and 2D graphics. The bike also gets a differently styled fuel tank logo – a simple decal instead of an intricate design with tank grips.
The RE Classic 350 S is powered by the 346cc single-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox, which churns out 20.1 BHP of power at 5250 rpm and 28 Nm of peek torque at 4000 rpm. The new version comes with a telescopic forks in the front and gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear end of the bike. The braking system consists of front disc brakes and drum brakes for the rear wheel.
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 S is the most affordable and safe bike in the Classic 350 range.
The new motorcycle not only makes the Classic 350 range more affordable but even ensures that the entry-level model offers more safety due to the addition of ABS.
The new Royal Enfield Classic 350 S-ABS even features the same suspension setup, with telescopic forks up front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle gets a disc brake up front and a drum unit at the rear.
