Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. launched the All New Honda Activa 125 BS-VI ahead of April 2020 BS-VI deadline. Honda revealed that all new Activa 125 BS-VI is developed with as many as 26 new patent applications. It comes with a host of industry first features offering more value to the customers. With dispatches starting towards the end of September, Honda Activa 125 BSVI is priced at Rs. 67,490 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Honda Activa 125 BS-VI model shares the same overall design as the BS4 unit, but it has undergone a few cosmetic changes. The headlight has been restyled to look sharper. The visor is no more flat and looks a lot sharper too. Honda has also redesigned the apron, slightly. Another new design element is the chrome trim piece on the side panels, full metal body with a chiseled tail lamp & grab rail.
The new Honda Activa 125 BS-VI is now host’s features like: Silent Start System, Integrated dual function switch for unlocking the seat & opening external fuel lid, Full LED headlamp and restyled signature LED position lamps, Side Stand Indicator with Engine Inhibitor which prevents engine start while the side stand is engage and 8 litre under-seat storage space, Front glove box.
The BS-VI model also comes equipped with New digital analogue meter with Advanced Information: It gets advanced with 3 New real time informatics like Range (displays distance one can travel with existing fuel in tank), Average fuel efficiency (for overall fuel efficiency display) & Real-time Fuel Efficiency for a rich riding experience. The meter displays details like Total Trip, Clock, ECO Indicator and Service Due Indicator with an On-Board Diagnostic feature of Malfunction light.
The Honda Activa BS-VI will be powered by a 125cc motor, which churns out 8.1hp at 6,500rpm, instead of 8.52hp at 6,500rpm on the outgoing model. The Activa 125 now host’s features like PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) and Honda’s Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology that the company claims “optimises energy output by maximising efficient combustion.” Honda has also made changes to the inlet port shape and has even made the combustion chamber on the scooter more compact. The company claims a 13 percent increase in fuel efficiency as well, compared to the BS4-compliant Activa 125.
The Honda Activa BS-VI gets Combi-Brake System (CBS) with equalizer as standard and 3-step adjustable rear suspension. Honda will be offering a special 6-year warranty package (3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty) on Activa 125 BSVI.
The Honda Activa 125 BS-VI will be available in three variants (Standard, Alloy and Deluxe) and 4 colors (Rebel Red Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic, Heavy Grey Metallic & Pearl Precious White). The all new Activa 125 BS-VI is priced attractively starting from Rs. 67,490 (Standard). The other two variants Alloy & Deluxe are priced at Rs. 70,990 & Rs. 74,490 respectively.
